I’m Claire Mailhot, and I wear a lot of hats - voice teacher, performer, music director, and all-around music lover. Whether I’m helping students hit their high notes or taking the stage myself, I’m all about sharing the magic of music and theater. My Story

Claire Mailhot is an accomplished musician, performer, and educator with a passion for inspiring students and audiences alike. She currently serves as the Head of Music and Theatre at Wooster School in Danbury, CT, where she shares her expertise in vocal performance and musical theater with students of all ages.

Claire’s performance credits include leading roles such as:

    •    Geneviève in The Baker’s Wife

    •    Marian in The Music Man

    •    Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors

    •    Elsa in The Sound of Music

    •    Grace in Annie

    •    Young Heidi in Follies (Signature Theatre)

    •    Noel Coward’s Bittersweet (Bard Summerscape)

She also understudied Donna, Tanya and Rosie in ACT of CT’s production of Mamma Mia!  She is in-demand as a concert artist, and recent programs have included, “The Golden Age of Hollywood,” at Raylynmor Opera in Keene, NH, “Mary Rodger’s and Friends” at Richter Arts Center, “Steven and Stephen” at Congregation Shri Shalom.

 

As a music director, Claire has worked on an impressive array of productions, including:

She also served as Music Director for ACT of CT’s Summer Stars Showcase of Madagascar Jr.

Claire holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from The Catholic University of America and did post-graduate studies at La Sorbonne in Paris, France and Brooklyn CUNY.  

Claire lives in Ridgefield with her two children, Amélie and Gabriel, and their cat, Cleo. She has also been sharing her passion for music through her Instagram project, posting a daily song since November 2022: IG: @clairechanteuse.
